Alternately Titled: Why You Should Never Feel Bad About How Your Kids Act During Our Session
This is why I need to hire a photographer instead of taking pictures of my own kids. I put something on the lens for my camera-avoidant son to look at, made funny barnyard sounds, made sure they were happy about the situation, even let L. choose the location, and bribed with fruit snacks and chocolate- basically I pulled out all the stops. And this is what I got SOOC (straight out of camera):
I do have a few of E. smiling, but she also looks like she might be ready to eat me at the same time. I left out the ten million in which I'm looking at the side of her head. I have one nice one of L. smiling, but he's doing that ridiculous squint thing he does . . . I got very sick to my stomach shortly after this, so the session was cut short. I don't even want to look at the ones of them together! I need a photographer for my children!!!
I'm thinking of doing the same thing to get a family shot.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter 'runs' to me EVERY time I plop her down for a pic!! So they are all of her 'taking off'. I know your pain!
ReplyDeleteI have been following your blog for a while now and love your work! I am always frustrated at my children when I pull my camera out. Maybe we could do a trade! I would be happy to take your kids' pics if you will come take mine :) I will just give you the SOOC and you can play with them as you wish. I wouldn't expect you to play with mine either. Think about it....
