I've always loved photography. I've had my own camera since I was ten, and would often be the one taking pictures of friends and family during parties and events. Thousands of pictures later, I had children, and decided my little point and shoot was no longer enough to fulfill my addiction. It was time to graduate to an digital SLR.
While I've been thrilled with my own pictures, I didn't think I was good enough to take other people's portraits. I kept thinking - I'm not professionally trained, I don't have nice enough equiptment, and I never in a million years could afford to rent a studio. All of that changed in 2009 when a friend asked me to photograph her sister's wedding. It was during the wedding shoot that I realized how much I loved taking photographs of other people as well as my family. I may not have the best of everything, but I'm quickly learning!
